In recognition of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in support of the Jamaica Cancer Society’s (JCS) ongoing mission to promote breast cancer education and awareness, JN Money, the remittance arm of the JN Group, is helping to raise funds to advance this important cause.

JN Money customers in the diaspora have been strong supporters of the initiative, and for the sixth consecutive year, are continuing to make donations across the company’s branch and agent network in Jamaica, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the Cayman Islands to support the JCS and its affiliate arm, Jamaica Reach to Recovery.

This initiative is part of the JN Group’s Power of Pink campaign, which has been a strong advocate for breast cancer awareness since 2018. As in previous years, JN Money has joined forces with JN Bank and JN Life Insurance, subsidiary companies, to provide 150 women with complimentary mammograms at the JCS on World Mammography Day, October 17.

Sanya Wallace-Innerarity, assistant general manager, strategy, marketing and sales, JN Money, said the company is pleased to be on board once again with this effort which makes a tangible difference in women’s lives.

“Breast cancer continues to challenge many families, and through this campaign, we are extending support to those in the fight and those who have been impacted. By joining forces, we can help more women benefit from early detection and timely care,” she related, noting that breast cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related deaths among Jamaican women.

Mrs Wallace-Innerarity added that the campaign also serves as a reminder of the impact of collective support and the importance of regular screening in saving lives.

“Beyond the fundraising, this initiative also focuses on raising awareness and motivating individuals to prioritise their health,” she emphasised. “We want to remind women that early detection gives the best chance of survival, and through partnerships like this, we are helping to make that possible.”

JN Money has raised more than J$5 million for the Jamaica Cancer Society (JCS) and Jamaica Reach to Recovery, remaining steadfast in its commitment to strengthen programmes that provide care and support to individuals affected by cancer. The contributions represent donations from customers in the diaspora, along with additional funds provided by JN Money.
