    JN Money was a proud sponsor of the Jamaica Women Football team also known as the Reggae Girlz, visit to England in October.

    The Reggae Girlz who played a friendly match against the Nottingham Forest Club Women’s team at the City Ground, Nottingham, previously qualified for the Women’s World Cup in October, after defeating Panama on penalties. JN Money supported the Girlz on their visit to the United Kingdom as part of their preparation for the tournament. The team won the match 3-0.

    “The Reggae Girlz created history by becoming the first women’s team from the Caribbean to qualify for a World Cup,” noted Horace Hines, General Manager, JN Money Services, “Their hard work and dedication was an example for us all and we were more than happy to provide support.”

    The match was part of Nottingham Forest Football Club’s Windrush commemoration, which was the first such activity to be undertaken by a football club and was attended by nearly 4,000 spectators and was the largest attendance for a Nottingham Forest Ladies competition.

    The turnout was also a UEFA record for a women’s friendly match.

    “As a company that is part of The Jamaica National Group, we were pleased as well with the support because of what the Windrush Generation represents for both the United Kingdom and the Caribbean. We are pleased the girls did well and will continue to provide support for Jamaicans back home and in the Diaspora,” Mr. Hines stated.
